What we collect
- Your email, only if you sign up for updates or send a bot request. A bot request also includes your name and what you asked for.
- Anonymous usage stats from Trade Buddy, sent once per visit: how long you used it, phone or computer, which site sent you, which coins and tabs you looked at, how far you got in the trade checklist, how many practice trades you placed and finished, their practice results, and how often a rule stopped a trade. Each device gets a random ID so we can tell new visitors from returning ones. It isn't linked to your name or email.
What stays on your device
Your Trade Buddy practice account (balance, trades, journal and settings) is saved in your own browser. We never receive it, except for the summary counts listed above.
Why we collect it
To see how people use our demos, fix what's confusing, and build better bots. We use emails only to send updates and reply to requests.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. Our website runs on Netlify, which stores the form entries for us. Trade Buddy's live prices come from Coinbase's public price feed, which doesn't receive any of your information from us.
Your choices
- Every email we send will have a way to unsubscribe.
- To have your email or request deleted, send us a note through the request form.
- Clearing your browser's site data resets your practice account and your device ID.
- A paid version of Trade Buddy without usage stats is planned.
Not financial advice
Trade Buddy is a practice tool that uses pretend money. It teaches how trades work and doesn't recommend what to buy or sell.
